Publications by the FMA pursuant to Article 116 of the VAG

Pursuant to Article 116 para 1 of the VAG (Insurance Supervision Act), the FMA periodically publishes a summary of pertinent legislation and company-specific occurrences and events. The latter include information regarding licences granted, transformations of companies, liquidations, the establishment of branch offices and the commencement of trade in services by EEC-based companies. Until the end of 2000, this information was published in German under the heading "Veröffentlichungen des Bundesministeriums für Finanzen betreffend die Vertragsversicherung" ("Publications by the Federal Ministry of Finance regarding contractual insurance"). Since 2001, it has been available on the Internet in PDF format.
