{"id":31911,"date":"2020-09-23T15:12:55","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T13:12:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fma.gv.at\/erklaerung-zur-barrierefreiheit\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T15:25:21","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T14:25:21","slug":"accessibility-declaration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fma.gv.at\/en\/accessibility-declaration\/","title":{"rendered":"Accessibility Declaration"},"content":{"rendered":"<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) is undertaking to make its web pages accessible in accordance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ris.bka.gv.at\/GeltendeFassung.wxe?Abfrage=Bundesnormen&amp;amp%3BGesetzesnummer=20010727\" class=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Web Accessibility Act (WZG; Web-Zug&auml;nglichkeits- Gesetz) in its currently applicable version<\/a> transposing <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/DE\/TXT\/?uri=CELEX%3A32016L2102\" class=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Directive&nbsp;(EU) 2016\/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies<\/a> (published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 327 of 2.12.2016, <abbr title=\"page 1\">p. 1<\/abbr> ).<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This accessibility declaration applies for the website <a href=\"https:\/\/fma.gv.at\/\">https:\/\/fma.gv.at<\/a>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Status of Compatibility with Requirements<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Austrian Financial Market Authority is committed to adapting its website in accordance with the AA conformance level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines &ndash; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/WCAG22\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"external\">WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)<\/a> or the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03).<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Non-accessible contents<\/h2><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Incompatibility with accessibility provisions<\/h3><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Success criterion 9.1.1.1 (Non-text Content)<\/h4><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The alternative text for the image map on &ldquo;Pillars of old-age provision&rdquo; is not meaningful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The text-based alternatives for some videos are missing.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Success criterion 9.1.4.3 (Contrast Minimum)<\/h4><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the information graphic about old-age provision, the contrast between the text colour and the background is too low.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Success criterion 9.2.4.7 (Focus visible)<\/h4><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The focus is not clearly visible when navigating in image maps.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FMA has already begun taking steps to rectify the aforementioned problems.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The content does not fall within the scope of the applicable legal regulations<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many predominantly older PDF documents and Office documents are not accessible. For example, PDF documents are not tagged up or are insufficiently tagged up so that they cannot be parsed by screen reader users. Consequently, success criterion 9.4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Content from third parties, for example documents by the European Supervisory Authorities EBA , EIOPA and ESMA , that do not fall within the scope of influence of the Austrian Financial Market Authority, are excluded from Directive (EU) 2016\/2102. It is not possible to make any statement regard such content by third parties regarding their compatibility with accessibility provisions.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Drawing up of the Accessibility Declaration<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This declaration was drawn up on 23.09.2020 and was updated on 04.12.2024 following in-depth evaluation by external certified experts for web accessibility accordingly.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Feedback and Contact Information<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The content and services on this website are being reviewed, improved and extended on an ongoing basis.
