The Finanstilsynet (Danish Financial Supervisory Authority) has notified the FMA in its capacity as competent authority for insurance supervision, that on 4 March 2018 that it instructed, by way of an order, Alpha Insurance A\/S<\/strong> to cease writing any new business and to renew existing contracts. The ban also relates to business in Austria, for which the Danish insurer is registered under the freedom to provide services.<\/p>

Consumers may contact the Danish supervisor directly with any questions they might have, and the supervisor is also sharing information via its website. The FMA is only able to forward enquiries to the Danish supervisor.<\/p>
