The tool covers costs, risk classifications, performance scenarios and ESG characteristics, and makes the information in a bundled, standardised and searchable manner.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fonds-Lupe takes it information from the <strong>legally prescribed key information documents (PRIIPs-KIDs)<\/strong>, which fund managers are required to draw up for their products. These documents are publicly available individually &ndash; the Fonds-Lupe <strong>bundles<\/strong> the data for <strong>all Austrian retail funds<\/strong> and presents it in a uniform manner. It supplements the FMA&rsquo;s <strong>Zertifikate-Lupe<\/strong>, which has already been available for over two years.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&ldquo;Transparency helps to sort and compare financial products, to allow people to use the capital market in an informed manner,&rdquo; remark the FMA&rsquo;s Executive Directors, <strong>Mariana K&uuml;hnel and Helmut Ettl<\/strong>. &ldquo;Our Fonds-Lupe bundles the key information for all Austrian retail funds, and presents it in a standardised and searchable manner. Our independent tool strengthens guidance for the market.&rdquo;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Fonds-Lupe has been designed as an <strong>information and comparison tool<\/strong> and supports users to obtain a systematic view of the Austrian market, and to compare products against one another based on selected criteria. The news edition of the FMA&rsquo;s &ldquo;Let&rsquo;s talk about money&rdquo; series for consumers introduces and explains how it works.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The information presented in the Fonds-Lupe is taken from the <strong>PRIIPs Key Information Documents (KIDs)<\/strong> produced by fund managers. <strong>PRIIPS<\/strong> are Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products. The <strong>KID<\/strong> (&ldquo;Key Information Document&rdquo;) is a standardised document for PRIIPs and briefly summarises the key features and risks and facilitates product comparison. The <strong>contents and calculations<\/strong> are provided <strong>by the management companies<\/strong>.
