{"id":443283,"date":"2025-01-16T14:45:14","date_gmt":"2025-01-16T13:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fma.gv.at\/?p=443283"},"modified":"2025-01-17T17:09:19","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T16:09:19","slug":"novis-eiopa-informs-about-current-developments-regarding-the-insurer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fma.gv.at\/en\/novis-eiopa-informs-about-current-developments-regarding-the-insurer\/","title":{"rendered":"Novis: EIOPA informs about current developments regarding the insurer"},"content":{"rendered":"<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The insurance supervisor in Slovakia, <span lang=\"sk\">N&aacute;rodn&aacute; banka Slovenska<\/span> (NBS), withdrew Novis&rsquo; licence to operate on 05 June 2023 and petitioned for the initiation of liquidation proceedings at the competent court.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a current communication from 15 January 2025, <abbr title=\"European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority\">EIOPA<\/abbr>  informs about the current state of proceedings against NOVIS Insurance Company, NOVIS <span lang=\"de\">Versicherungsgesellschaft<\/span>, NOVIS <span lang=\"it\">Compagnia di Assicurazioni<\/span> and NOVIS <span lang=\"sk\">Pois&#357;ov&#328;a a.s.<\/span> (Novis). In this communication, which can read on the <abbr title=\"European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority\">EIOPA<\/abbr>  website (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eiopa.europa.eu\/policyholders-insurer-novis-may-face-financial-losses-no-liquidator-has-yet-been-appointed-2025-01-15_en\" class=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.eiopa.europa.eu\/policyholders-insurer-novis-may-face-financial-losses-no-liquidator-has-yet-been-appointed-2025-01-15_en<\/a>), EIOPA states that in its estimation, the fact that a liquidator has not yet been appointed could have an effect on the interests of the Slovak insurer&rsquo;s policyholders.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update from 15 January 2025<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[86],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-443283","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-information-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.8 -
