The British investment firm AFX Markets Limited, which is also authorised to provide investment services in Austria under the freedom to provide services, has been placed into special administration by the High Court of Justice of England and Wales at the request of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
This was done in the interest of safeguarding monies held on behalf of its clients, since in the FCA’s view, AFX Markets Limited, as an investment firm which is allowed to hold customer deposits, no longer appeared to be in a position to settle debts in the future arising in this regard.
