Despite the massive economic turbulence during 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the number of capital market prospectuses to be approved remained stable. The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) granted 19 approvals during the 4th quarter, of which four were for single-part prospectuses and 15 for multi-part prospectuses (5 registration forms and 10 securities notes). During the whole of 2020 the FMA had to review 63 approvals, of which 41 were for single-part prospectuses and 22 for multi-part prospectuses (6 registration forms and 16 securities notes); in 2019 there were 68 approvals (58 single-part prospectuses, four registration forms, and six securities notes for multi-part prospectuses). In addition there were 16 prospectus supplements to approve during the 4th quarter, one more than in the corresponding quarter of 2019.
