The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) is now also represented on the centralised inter-institutional online platform for Austria’s public administration, “www.oesterreich.gv.at”. As a result, the FMA’s investor warnings, its Company Database, the Tied Agents and Securities Broker Query (Wertpapiervermittlerabfrage) as well as the consumer information series “Let’s talk about money” are all easier to find and more accessible for the interested public.
FMA investor warnings inform about financial services provider that are active in the Austrian financial market in a fraudulent or unauthorised manner. The Company Database, which lists all the financial services providers that are authorised in Austria, allows people to quickly and simply determine whether a certain provider is authorised to provide this financial service in Austria. In turn, the broker query provides information about whether a company or individual is actually registered at the FMA as an investment advisor. In its monthly information series “Let’s talk about money”, the FMA explains current relevant financial topics to consumers using simple and clear language.
Inter-institutional information platform of public administration
Citizens can quickly obtain help and receive a broad range of information about various administrative issues affecting all kinds of situations relating to everyday life through the inter-institutional online platform “www.oesterreich.gv.at”. The cross-portal search (covering HELP.gv.at, USP, RIS and more) means that all material information relating to public administration are centrally accessible in an appropriate breadth and depth. Oesterreich.gv.at can be accessed from a computer or using a smartphone. In addition, direct access is also available to users of the “Digitales Amt” app, which is available for download through all popular app stores.
