The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has reorganised and updated the section on Disclosure for Insurance Supervision on its website. The objective supervisory disclosure is to promote transparency, comparability and comprehensibility of supervisory activity in the insurance sector.
The content has been restructured and in particular covers:
- supervisory disclosure under the Solvency II regime and the Insurance Supervision Act (VAG 2016; Versicherungsaufsichtsgesetz)
- aggregated statistical data and quantitative information
- reports on the State of the Austria Insurance Industry
- quarterly reports on the insurance market
- information about priorities, functions and activities of insurance supervision
As a result of the update, existing contents were consolidated and up-to-date information integrated to permit more efficient usage of the inforrmation for market participants, the general public and data-based analyses.
