Foreign Insurance Business of Austrian Insurance Groups
The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has published its Analysis of Foreign Business of Austrian Insurance Groups annually since the 2016 financial year.
Due to the geographic investment focus of Austrian insurance groups, the analysis focuses strongly on the CESEE region. The analysis in particular considers the following aspects:
- the macroeconomic framework of the region and individual countries
- developments regarding the local insurance markets
- the performance of Austrian groups within those markets
The results of this analysis form a material input towards steering the FMA’s international supervisory activities.
