ANNOUNCEMENT
In an administrative decision dated 08.07.2024, the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has prohibited MDP Management- & Verwaltungs-GmbH & Co KG (“watercoin.io”) with its registered office in 1050 Vienna from the unauthorised management of an alternative investment fund pursuant to Article 60 para. 1 of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Act (AIMFG; Alternative Investmentfonds Manager-Gesetz). The administrative decision is not legally final.
The basis for this publication is Article 22c para. 1 of the Financial Market Authority Act (FMABG; Finanzmarktaufsichtsbehördengesetz).

MDP Management- & Verwaltungs-GmbH & Co KG has submitted an appeal to the Federal Administrative Court (BVwG; Bundesverwaltungsgericht) against the FMA’s administrative decision dated 08.07.2024 prohibiting it from the unauthorised management of an alternative investment fund.
