The General Court of the Court of Justice of the European Union rejected the application for interim relief in the licence withdrawal procedure against Anglo Austrian AAB Bank AG (previously Meinl Bank AG) in a decision published today, 07.02.2020. The licence withdrawal by the European Central Bank (ECB) which became effective on 15.11.2019 is thereby reinstated.
The General Court of the Court of Justice of the European Union has only ruled in this procedure about the temporary suspension of the withdrawal of the licence, with the procedure in relation to the appeal against the withdrawal of the licence by the European Central Bank (ECB) is still pending at the court.
