The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) hereby announces that it has imposed a fine of 2,800.00 Euro against Alpenbank AG by way of the accelerated conclusion of proceedings pursuant to Article 22 para. 2b of the Financial Market Authority Act (FMABG)) for two breaches of notification obligations under the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR, Regulation (EU) 596/2014). Specifically, Alpenbank AG failed in two cases to inform the FMA without delay that there were reasonable grounds to suspect that an order or transaction by one of its customers constituted market manipulation. The penal order is final.
