Following a resolution being passed to this effect at the general meeting of HETA ASSET RESOLUTION AG (HETA), the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has today approved the third interim distribution to HETA’s creditors of approx. € 2.05 billion. The distribution will be paid out this month (December 2019).

Consequently, HETA has now repaid a total of approx. € 9.9 billion to creditors ahead of schedule. The external valuation report, upon the basis of which the FMA issued the first administrative decision to apply a haircut to claims of creditors, assumed maximum proceeds for creditors following the conclusion of resolution in 2023 of approx. € 6 billion. As a result of the proceeds of resolution conducted jointly by the FMA and management of HETA up until 2019 € 3.9 billion more has already been repaid by means of interim distributions than had originally been expected in total.
