The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has published a revised Circular on Bank Auditors’ Reporting Obligations (Article 63 para. 3 of the Austrian Banking Act (BWG; Bankwesengesetz)). The circular takes into account the updated legal bases (CRD /CRR ) and has been extended to cover the activities in the EU Statutory Auditors Regulation where there is an obligation to speak up. Moreover, it also reflects experience from supervisory practice.
