FMA issues warning: The “Austrian Capital Market Authority (ACMA)”, as represented on the internet, is not an Austrian supervisory authority

Release Date: |
Categories:

Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA) wishes to clarify that the Republic of Austria has no supervisory authority called the “Austrian Capital Market Authority (ACMA)”. Responsibility for licensing and supervision of credit, financial services and payment services institutions, insurance undertakings and Pensionskassen (pension companies) lies solely with the FMA. The organisation “Austrian Capital Market Authority (ACMA)” which, on its website, passes itself off as a public authority with responsibility for “administering securities laws” in Austria has no legal basis.
