The Austrian Financial Market Authority FMA issued an administrative decision on 12 December 2009 prohibiting the Nick2Nick association from operating the loan brokerage platform www.bankless-life.at. The association does not possess the FMA licence required for brokering loan transactions, providing the checking account business, deposit transactions or payment transactions. Nor could a trade licence for brokering loans be presented.
