The Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) has issued an administrative decision withdrawing auditor Bernhard Mechtler as of 16 July 2014 from his office as government commissioner at Adria Bank AG. The FMA proceeded in this way since there was no longer any danger that Adria Bank AG would not be able to fulfil its creditor obligations according to Article 70 para. 2 of the Austrian Banking Act (BWG). The decision enters into force at the end of 16 July 2014.

Bernhard Mechtler was appointed as government commissioner on 11 March 2014 at Adria Bank AG pursuant to Article 70 para. 2 BWG to protect the financial interests of the bank’s creditors and to safeguard the assets entrusted to the supervised undertaking.
