Event (Loss ~)

An occurrence relating to operational risk, where a loss is sustained by the credit institution. There are seven typical causes for operational losses listed in the Basel Accord (each having various subtypes): internal fraud; external fraud; employment practices and workplace safety; clients, products and business practice; damage to physical assets; business disruption and systems failures; execution, delivery and process management.
