The provider is therefore prohibited from concluding money-lending agreements and the granting of monetary loans (Article 1 para. 1 no. 3 of the Austrian Banking Act (BWG; Bankwesengesetz)) as well as from executing payment transactions including the transferring of funds into a payment account held by the payment service user’s payment service provider or another payment service provider by executing credit transfers including standing orders (Article 1 para. 2 no. 3 lit. c of the Payment Services Act 2018 (ZaDiG 2018; Zahlungsdienstegesetz 2018).
The basis for this publication is Article 4 para. 7 of the Austrian Banking Act (BWG; Bankwesengesetz) as well as Article 94 para. 9 of the Payment Services Act 2018 (ZaDiG 2018; Zahlungsdienstegesetz 2018).
