The guidance below explains how to submit applications for specific permission to operate a DLT market infrastructure.

For specific permission to operate a DLT market infrastructure Tables 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 in the Annex to the aforementioned Guidelines are to be used.

Applications for approval, notifications and any additional information should be submitted in electronic form by e-mail (in the case of large files by means of a USB stick), so that it is possible to access it in the future for an appropriate period of time for information purposes, and to reproduce the saved information in an unmodified form. In addition, applications for approval, notifications and any additional information may also (but are not required to) be submitted in paper form.
Applications and other documentation must be submitted in German. Applicants are nevertheless strongly recommended, in light of the fact that under certain circumstances the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and supervisory authorities from other EU member states may also be involved in the evaluation of the application, to also submit additional copies of the application for approval, notifications and any additional details in English.
